Innovative dental materials that have improved mechanical properties aimed at healing problems presented by materials available on the market in order to restore oral cavity promoting durability, efficiency and ease of handling are highly desired and often achieved by the constant modification in the structure and function of materials already existing. In view of the above, the objective of this study will be to examine the mechanical properties of dental ceramics incorporated with antimicrobial nanomaterial, nanostructured silver vanadate decorated with silver - ² - AgVO3 nanoparticles. The mechanical behavior will be evaluated by means of tests of microhardness, surface roughness, flexural strength and fracture. The incorporation pattern of ²-AgVO3 in the ceramics will be analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and elemental analysis by dispersive energy (EDS). The data will be analyzed statistically depending on its distribution pattern.
