Abstract

The Formations of Votuverava and Capiru belong to the Açungui Supergroup, however there are controversies about the origin and the sequence of metavulcanadosedimentar, since they are a set of distinct sets: the Ribeira Belt and the Curitiba Microplate, respectively. In addition, its lithologies and structures of contact with the sedimentation environment variables, separate paleogeographies of distinct and grounded of the land during a formation of Western Gondwana in the Neoproterozoic, resulting in the Lancinha Shear Zone. Deformed and metamorphosed, the present study aims at the comparison between the petrographic characteristics, an aspect and geochronological that allow to reconstitute a part of the formation process, as well as the understanding of the cynematic and the zone of shear processes associated with the overlap of these formations. The tectonic model to be checked in this project, proposes that the units Votuverava and Capiru evolved in distinct plates that were juxtaposed only at the end of the neoproterozoic, with the Lancinha Shear Zone representing, in surface, the trace of the old neoproterozoic suture.
