Abstract

It is a consensus that the public production of social housing with the presence of technical advisement in São Paulo had important influence of Uruguayan experiences on the social production of Housing Cooperatives. The management of this form of production, the relationship between technical advisors, civil society and the State, is related to the notion of cooperativism present in the Uruguayan practices. As well as the quest for architectural quality in the social housing.The visit to housing complexes produced in the scope of the Housing Cooperatives in Uruguay, as well as the visit to research centers and institutions related to this production, aims to enrich the reading of the main research developed at master's level. It is argued that the understanding of the arrangements and relations developed in Uruguayan experiences broaden the repertoire and allow a approximation with the universe of the practice of São Paulo.
