Abstract

The carbon black is a material described in the literature as a reference for the H2O2 generation from the electrochemical reduction of O2, however, the acquisition of this material is not common, because currently few companies in Brazil supply this material and in most of cases and provided in large volumes. In this sense, the present project aims to evaluate the thermal synthesis of the active carbon used in the calcination process of the solid residue of sugarcane bagasse and the resulting material of this process must be evaluated electrochemically for the H2O2 generation in acidic medium.
