Abstract

The dissemination and popularization of environmental, social and economic sustainability issues have great importance for current day-to-day practices and themes of social-environmental governance and vulnerability in the macrometropole are considered central. The project proposed aims to have a scientific and social impact. The expected scientific impact of the project is on peer communication. From the social point of view, the main beneficiaries of the project are expected to be policymakers, policy makers, public and private managers, service providers, NGOs and the most vulnerable populations. When we think of the macrometropole, the construction of a new model, based on a paradigmatic change, demands the confrontation of the complexities inherent in the societies of contemporary megacities. A reflection of the academy, centered on the multisectoral, interdisciplinary and multi-institutional approach is necessary. (AU)
