Abstract

The purpose of this in vitro study will be evaluate the effect of the application of antioxidant agents after dental bleaching and prior to the luting of ceramic laminates in the color stability, mechanical properties (nanohardness [HIT] and elastic modulus [Eit*], degree of conversion and morphology of the adhesive interface. One hundred and seventy-six ceramic blocs (7x8x0.6mm) of lithium disilicate (IPS e=max CAD) will be cemented on the dental enamel distributed in 11 groups according to the procedure methods (unbleached groups, bleached group with Whitenees HP Maxx 35%), the types of antioxidants to be used (control, 10% ascorbic acid and 10% ±-tocopherol) and cementation periods (immediate and after 14 days) (n=16). Tetric N Bond Universal adhesive system and Variolink Esthetic resin cement (Ivoclar Vivadent) will be used. Chromatic stability values will be measured in the spectrophotometer equipment (Shimadzu); mechanical properties (HIT and Eit*) in the nanoindenter (Anton Paar), under load of 1000 ¼N; degree of conversion in the Micro-Raman spectrometer (Renishaw); as well as the morphology of the adhesive interface in the confocal laser microscope (Leica) and these values will be used to determine possible changes that will occur in the bonded interface. The data will be subjected to statistical normality tests and specific tests to verify the significance between means (p = 0.05). (AU)
