Abstract

The present project aims to analyze some aspects of Portuguese-Brazilian international relations regarding the singularity of the Portuguese immigrant presence in the country, especially in the Vargas Era. The socio-historical and multidisciplinary approach of the Master's Program in History, International Relations and Cooperation of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto is highlighted, which seeks to guide the development of works related to the areas of International Relations and Political Studies, which are at the core of this project. Thus, through the research stage at this University, we intend to elucidate the specificities of the immigration movements for Brazil, especially Portuguese, in the context of the post-Second War, through interpretations of historiography from both a national and comparatively international perspective.
