Abstract

The activities of the scientific initiation scholarship, on the major project, correspond to the axis of the research directly to the medical research dedicated to the spirituality theme. The increasing interest of the medical sciences for the relationship between health and spirituality it was already noted and resonate by others researchers, as it is noted on the major project. As the global indicators of the impact on this field, we can mention the consolidation of programmers of post-graduate on the theme in researchers center on the University of Columbia, Duke, Harvard and Yale, besides the huge amount of publications destined to the subject on the capes journals and the regular offer of courses about the same thematic area in universities in Europe, United States and Latin America. In this picture, Brazil occupies, notoriously, a place of emphasis, as a country of higher concentration of academic publication about the theme. The object of this scientific initiation scholarship it's to map the emergence and consolidation of this production in Brazil. From researches on journal's portals, the bank of capes thesis and dissertations and other portals of similar nature, the investigation will offer a picture pointing the first researchers about the theme, the concentration areas of those publications, and the most current journals and main articles in the debate consolidation. As the whole main project, the analyses of the Brazilian case will enable to recognize the links of the national and foreign researchers, identifying those partnerships and the development to the consolidation of this line on medical research in the country.
