Abstract

The challenge of digital research data preservation and improving the development of quality research is solved by the elaboration of the Data Management Plan (DMP) proposed by research funding agencies in dialogue with the researchers. The search data represents a new informational resource for the Academic Libraries that libraries should manage. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to question how the Academic Libraries are inserted in the process of supporting the researcher at the time of production and availability of their research data to the scientific community and to map which public Academic Libraries of the state of São Paulo offer the researcher subsidies for sharing your research data. It is expected that the results of this research will provide consistent arguments in order to demonstrate the strong integration of the Data Management Plan (DMP) with the digital preservation process within Academic Libraries and the significance of collaboration between librarians and users/researchers.
