In business, different needs and objectives may affect the decision of a decision maker, leading to the search for alternative choices according the requirement. Understanding the trade-off between the objectives and treating a problem as a multi-objective one mean considering the articulation of preference by relating it to the optimization, giving to the decision maker available alternatives for a more informed, comprehensive and better choice. During the development of this project, we intent to study the trade-off between the objectives of a proposed formulation for the integrated cutting stock and lot sizing problem, understanding the parameters influence in the solution of the model and investigating possible real situations for the model applicability. For it, computational tests will be carried out. At the end of the project it is also expected that the acquired knowledge will contribute to the development of other studies related to the subject.
