Abstract

The Web environment was developed to provide the sharing of informational resources in digital format, but the absence of adequate representation has made the retrieval, use and reuse of such contents unfeasible. Linked Data, a set of practices for the publication of structured and interconnected data was created as a way to soften the problems of information retrieval on the Web and has been applied to the bibliographic domain by international institutions. Aiming to assist national institutions to adapt their bibliographic data to the Linked (Open) Data question: how to adapt the bibliographic data to the set of best practices Linked (Open) Data? The purpose of the proposal is to analyze the steps and tools involved in the process of adapting bibliographic data to Linked (Open) Data, presented in the scientific literature and in technical documents, to identify the necessary requirements for adequacy. It is proposed to carry out a Systematic Review of Literature and to conduct an empirical study of the institutions that adapted their data to Linked (Open) Data. As a result, it is hoped to build guidelines that will help libraries at the national level to initiate the adequacy process. (AU)
