Abstract

Due to the poor diet, predominantly sedentary population pattern, in addition to risk factors such as smoking, obesity and alcoholism, the prevalence of systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia is increasing, and, together with the stress of urban life, causes an imbalance that culminates in the involvement of organs and systems, among them chronic kidney disease (CKD), which already affects 10% of the world population. Since CKD has high prevalence in the population, in addition to high incidence, it is important to evaluate its correlation with other diseases, such as the one in this study, peripheral arterial disease (PAD). PAD is also prevalent in the same population and the relationship between these pathologies can have a great impact on patients. In order to increase the knowledge about this relationship between lower limbs DAP and CKD, this study will analyze 115 medical charts of patients who underwent CABG in 2017, as well as their ilio-femoral arterial segment angiography, and the clinical evolution ischemia. The Rutherford and TASC classifications will be used to analyze angiographies, as well as demographic profile, presence or absence of risk factors and assessment of renal function in all patients. It is a fact that CKD can affect the lower limb arteries, inducing calcifications and steno sing lesions on their walls, which may lead to failure of the revascularizations performed by the patients, amputations and aggravate an already installed DAP. Through this project, it will be possible to analyze the correlation between these two pathologies.
