Abstract Related to the doctoral research already in course (FAPESP 2018/02583-7), this is a project that aims the needs of the research and the benefits provided through a period of internship at Columbia University in the city of New York. Faced with the fact that the great majority of Cowells works (articles, music pieces, letters etc.) arent yet published, Cowell access to the Henry Papers at the New York Public Library is of vital importance to the research. Also, the environment, sharing of information, guidance and contacts provided by a prestigious institution like Columbia University could greatly aid the method and depth of the research. As a project upon Experimental Music, the proximity to the ambiance where it grew and flourished would strengthen the project and its realization as well as strengthening the collaboration between both institutions (UNESP - Columbia) to promote positive consequences for the musicological practice. | |
