Materials under swift heavy ion radiation have their mechanical properties changed. The project aim is to simulate through Molecular Dynamics the cascade collision effects on iron. Thus, we will carry out Prymary Knock-on atoms, determing the threshold displacement energy for defect creation in the $\alpha$-iron lattice, and evaluate the elastic constants of affected material, comparing to the pristine material.
