Assuming the Revista Brasiliense to be a representative mean of expression of a particular sector within Brazilian communist universe, the project aims at reconstructing and discussing the historical-political and theoretical relations of the periodical with the largest left-wing organization of the period, the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB). The project will focus more specifically on the role played by Caio Prado Júnior and Elias Chaves Neto, as well as on the work of the PCB in São Paulo. In order to achieve these objectives, a detailed analysis of political articles published in the periodical, and other theoretical, biographical and historical texts on the subject will be made.
