Abstract

Problems of interdisciplinary research that can be modeled by fractional derivatives are discussed in different fields such as medical science, engineering, chemistry and physics, as we have seen in recent studies. The fractional diffusion equation, which models anomalous diffusive phenomena, is a generalization of the classical diffusion equation. In this project, we intend to solve the more general time-space fractional heat conduction equation in one-dimensional unbounded space and investigate the solution by means of the discrete Fourier transform, whose implementation will be performed in MATLAB software. We intend to apply the study in a particular time-space fractional for the Stefan problem.
