This research proposal for the doctoral internship aims to delineate and understand the conflicting interpretations that make up the reception of Brazilian audiovisual works in the French context in recent years, according to their critical circulation. It also considers the role of the viewer in the deliberation of images, as well as the reflection on which spheres of sense production influence their processes of interpretation. This internship is part of the doctoral research in progress, "Anchoring and coupling in recent Brazilian cinema", which aims to analyze the production of Brazilian cinema between 2012 and 2018, from the perspective of the production and reception of films. With this internship (from September 2019 to July 2020), we intend to deepen the theoretical and methodological axes in the Film and Audiovisual Research Institute (IRCAV, in french), at Sorbonne Nouvelle University - Paris 3 especially those concerning the semio-pragmatics and critical circulation of audiovisual works.
