Abstract

The Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV) is considered important pathogen in Brazilian cattle, and the Bovine Hepacivirus is less studied and its impacts to productive sector is unknown. The BVDV diagnostics kits commercialized are imported and negleted the native viral strains, therefore, its fundamental provide solutions to confrontation disease's by these virus, in partnership with national and international institutions to facilitate translational animal health strategies. The goals of this study are 1) to detect positive bovine up to 1 year for BVDV and Bovine Hepacivirus by molecular and immunodiagnostics tests; 2) to identify possible biomarkers to BVDV and Bovine Hepacivirus, respectively, using molecular tests and proteomics; 3) to develop diagnostics kits able to distinguish both virus and 4) to verify genetics correlations between members of Flaviviridae family. The development of new diagnoses kits will contribute to decrease the production costs caused by disease due to the rapid identification and elimination of Persistently Infected animal (PI), source of infection to the susceptible animals and decrease of the economic losses relates to these agents. In this form, this project is embedded to mission of Biological Institute in order to promote technological innovation in animal health. (AU)
