Abstract

This project aims at the development of an electroanalytical methodology, using boron doped diamond electrodes (BDD) and graphite electrodes, associated with chemometric methods, for the simultaneous and selective determination of the hormones estradiol (E2) and estrone (E1) in natural waters. The effect of interferents and the study of the reduction and / or oxidation mechanism for each compound under study will be analyzed. The development of the methodology will be performed using factorial planning associated with voltammetric techniques, such as cyclic and square wave voltammetry. The potential of the developed method will be evaluated in the determination of the hormones estrone and estradiol in natural waters, which will be collected at the Billings dam in the Diadema region of São Paulo. Thus, it is expected to obtain a methodology with a lower cost, more accessible and with less preparation stages of the samples. The results obtained will be compared with those of other techniques traditionally used.
