Abstract

This project formulated and evaluated impact of distribution network reconfiguration (DSR) on distribution line repair cost. The aim is to decrease distribution line repair cost via reconfiguration of radial distribution networks when active power losses (losses cost) is minimized. For this purpose, a new framework for DSR problem is presented using relationship among line loading, failure rate, repair actions, and switching operations. The proposed model will be implemented on well-known test systems available in other specialized literature using efficient genetic algorithm. (AU)
