Abstract

The quickly Brazilian urbanization, which occurred after 1960s, has led to various forms of degradation of the urban environment, significantly interfering with the quality of live of city dwellers, as well as causing a house deficit. The Companhia de Desenvolvimento Habitacional e Urbano (CDHU) was one of the initiatives carried out by the Government of the State of São Paulo to mitigate this deficit. However, projects carried out by CHDU prioritizad mass construction in detriment of quality. The objected of this research is to investigate the generation of heat islands in Martinópolis/SP and to verify ho thermal comfort manifests itself in housing complezes built by the CDHU, based on the theoretical and methodological proposal of the Urban Climate System (SCU) (MONTEIRO, 1976). The study will be done by means of records of temperature and relative humidity in the housing complexes of the CDHU in Martinópolis, thus being able to evaluate the lower heat islands and the thermal comfort in the residences from the comfort index proposed by THOM (1959). In addition, mobile transects and surface temperature analysis will be performed through thermal images of Landsat 8 satellite and NDVI index. At the end, it's expected to obtain data and analyzes that contribute to the proposal of mitigation for heat island in the city and improvement of thermal comfort in CDHU housing complex. (AU)
