Abstract

The way that classical political economy put the articulation of the moments in the reproduction of the capital remained as privileged object of the criticism made by Karl Marx from 1844 until his death. In the Manuscripts of 1844 (Economic and Philosophical), Marx points to the lack of development of the categorial presuppositions of bourgeois economy as something to be overcome by criticism. Particularly, the naturalization of the triad of "factors" of production concealed class antagonisms, keeping to the distributive conflicts the appearance of arbitrary phenomena of circulation. The development of the posits and presuppositions of an articulated whole, in this case of the reproduction of capital, is pointed out by Marx in the Introduction of the Manuscripts of 1857-1858 (Grundrisse) as a syllogism of the economic spheres. Therefore, the exposure of capital as a whole has itself to assume a syllogistic development - without losing sight of its speculative limitations, i.e. without reducing itself to a logic. The relationship between the exposition of capital and the criticism of its theoretical expositions is found in the Manuscripts of 1862-1863 (Theories of Surplus Value) as a privileged place for the investigation of this syllogistic development. However, it is the movement itself of these three manuscripts which allows us to observe the syllogism as a development of Marxian criticism itself. (AU)
