Abstract

Self-assembled peptides and proteins of amyloid family have recently attracted great attention due to interesting applications of the corresponding nanostructures as advanced materials in biomedicine, tissue engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, nanotechnology and material science. Following a fruitful collaboration started on 2015 with Prof. Buckup's group at Universität Heidelberg, Physikalisch-Chemisches Institut, Heidelberg, Germany, in the present project we will investigate the possible nanostructures self-assembled from diphenylalanine peptides under acetic acid preparation. The dynamics (> ms) and the fast dynamics (> 15 fs) of the self-assembling process will be probed using time-resolved conventional Raman spectroscopy and Multiplex Coherent Anti-Stokes Scattering (MCARS), respectively. The objective is unveil the growing kinetics and establish the fundamental bases of assembling process. (AU)
