Associated to the scholarship:18/17443-6 - From the perception to the preservation: reflections about the activation of the FEPASA complex of Jundiaí, BP.MS

Given the fast urban and social transformations, it is essential to think of new ways of apprehending industrial spaces and actions to safeguard them. Within this context, activation appears as an alternative to these goods and it takes into account both social demands and existing spatial practices, as well as seeking the balance between memory and the new function. The ideas and urban practices of the Situationist International Movement (1957-1972) are then used as a reference for new forms of apprehension of the urban space. It is understood that through the situationist dérive there is the possibility of apprehending the industrial spaces from the body experience, and also recognizing their appropriations and the meanings attributed by their users. Thus, the main objective of this research is the improvement of the theoretical-methodological knowledge about the situationist dérive technique. In addition, it has as its specific objectives to learn about new concepts and methodologies of analysis, to know industrial spaces where dérive experiments were carried out and, finally, to execute a brief case study on the old industrial district Ostiense, in Rome (Italy). To this end, the work will consist of four interconnected and complementary steps, closely related to the proposed objectives. After all, it is expected that the subsidies generated allow the transfer of knowledge with the study conducted in Brazil. (AU)
