Abstract

This study aims to analyze the particularities of pedagogical mediation employed by teachers working with deaf students enrolled in bilingual (Brazilian Sign Language - Libras - and Portuguese) classes of Early Childhood Education and / or early years of elementary school. The theme arises from the student's work, which proposes this project, with this reality of pedagogical mediation in the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarship (Pibid). It is intended to develop a qualitative research, from the socio-historical perspective, having its data collected through documentary sources, interviews with bilingual teachers and participatory observations of the daily life of bilingual classes of a bilingual polo school, in the city of Guarulhos. Observations will be recorded in a field diary and filming, which will later be part of the research body. As a result, it is expected a greater understanding of the particularities of pedagogical work, in the teaching skills of professionals who work in bilingual classrooms formed by deaf students and that, thus, may favor the expansion of significant learning experiences of deaf students.
