Abstract

This research aims to scan the production of the Bishop D. Lope de Barrientos and to serialize the lessons of its content about the dreams and the considered correct ways of sleeping in the Castilian Society of the 15th century. Inserted on the young researcher plan "the teaching of the Christian Faith in the Iberian Peninsula" (FAPESP 2017/11111-9), this work intends to analyze the function conferred to the dreams on the Castilian catechetical politics of purgation of sins in the 15th century. In another words, the aim will consist in analyzing in which extent the exam of nightly dreams could be seen as a tool of comprehension about the mistakes done in the day-by-day life.
