Abstract

The Scientific Initiation Research Project is a part of the Teaching Research Work Plan: "International Cooperation, Education and Democracy: Global governance of primary education for the consolidation of democracy within the United Nations Organization for the Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) ". Its main objective is to measure the merger, in the bills of the Chamber of Deputies on basic education in its orientation for the democracy, from the hermeneutical contents advocated by UNESCO to education for global citizenship (ECG). This in the period from 01/07/2015 to 31/12/2016, when, while in the international scenario, the organization (UNESCO), as an important interpreter of the right to education, advances debates on the ECG theme, there is, in the Brazilian context, social mobilization around the themes of education and democracy, led by high school students, which generated the occupation of public schools. As a central point, the criticism of the absence of democracy and social participation in educational public policies. The methods adopted are documentary research, discourse analysis and, in a complementary way, researchbibliographic. As a result, it is expected to assess any repercussions, in the proposals international human rights law, as interpreted by main international organization dedicated to the subject. (AU)
