Abstract

The existence of urban green spaces is fundamental for a good quality of life for the populationshuman. However, these spaces are not always used by populations in general, and byschool communities, although they are excellent educational spaces. This project aims togeneral objective to investigate the values (aesthetic, ethical, environmental and social) attributed to spacesurban greens (squares and gardens), by school agents and 5th grade students of Elementary School Iof three schools located in the municipality of Ilha Solteira (SP). Interviews will be usedsemi-structured with Environmental Education teachers and Pedagogical Coordinators, beingContent Analysis was subsequently carried out. In addition, through activities proposed indidactic sequence with 5th grade students, characterized as theoretical activities and field practices,that will be carried out in a green area near the school, data will be collected throughdrawings and conversation circles, duly recorded in audio and video for later interpretationthe light of theory. The analysis of the drawings will be carried out through the categorization and interpretation ofthemselves, with the aid of each student's oral report. In addition, the materials produced bystudents will compose the didactic material that will be made available on the University's website.At the end, it is intended to indicate the potential for use in Environmental Education in the yearselementary schools in urban green areas near schools.
