Abstract

This research aims to study the game as a tool in the teaching and learning of mathematics, since the game is part of the students' lives and has a playful character and is able to provide a more fun learning, allowing a transformation in math classes, leaving one more and motivating. In this study, it is proposed to analyze the game as a methodological tool in the teaching of mathematics, in addition, it is intended to investigate whether the application of games can make mathematics classes more interesting and motivated. Games can change the way that many students see mathematics, in addition, it aims to see if the use of games can facilitate the learning of mathematical content. To achieve these goals, we plan to collect data from a 5th grade teacher from a municipal school who will apply a quiz to their students so they can understand their relationship and their conceptions of mathematics, then the math board game called "Five in a row" and "Domino Fraction Game" will be applied in several days, at the end a new quiz will be used to analyze and compare the answers before and after the use of the game.
