Abstract

Subjects like violence, death, obesity, aggressiveness, preconception etc. usually are not worked in the classroom, however are considered polemic themes and needed to be discussed. The present project has as general objective analyze possible improvements in the classroom environment, especially in the interpersonal relationships between the students and between them and their teachers, through the development of storytelling actions followed by circles of conversation that approach polemic themes related to behaviors inside and outside the school environment. For school and classroom selection we will consider the indication and the criterion of the Presidente Prudente - SP's Municipal Secretary of Education. Methodologically, we will conduct an interview with the teacher to identify the most frequent polemic themes in that classroom; after this survey, will be done storytelling and discussions based on reading strategies, about the literary texts that approach this themes; we will observe the interactions and the relationships between the children. A new interview with the teacher will show us the changes or not in the relations between the students in the school environment. The expected results predict the improvement and the reframing of the interpersonal relationships between the students and with the teacher, in a perspective of avoiding bullying actions, school violence, prejudices etc. by providing a reflection that may favor a better environment and living in the classroom.
