Abstract This research aims to map, read and analyses the feminine myth's images in the Propertius' elegies. Having in mind that those poems were written in Rome of the I b.C., it is our role to identify who is the woman of that poetry, in which sphere and position she acts and what function she performs in propertian's poetic work. We concentrate efforts in the retoric construction of the feminine images that Propertius does by means of miticscitations, these are exempla of topics defended by the elegiac poet in the construction of (I) women's éthe; (II) Cíntia's persona; and (III) a poetic discourse. | |
