Abstract

Health promotion interventions have an equity character by aiming to improve people's competence skills, strengthen their capacity to deal with adverse events and facilitate individuals, without distinction, to have access to programs that promote the improvement of their quality of life. One of the ways to carry out health promotion is through intervention programs in the school context that seek to promote social and emotional competences, as during the school period important developmental achievements happen. In addition, it is in the period of childhood that social skills, self-control, self-knowledge and capacity for reflection develop critically. Studies prove that bibliotherapy is an effective alternative to carry out interventions at school, since it provides personal growth and has a low cost of implementation. Through the use of books it becomes possible to democratize the content of Psychology, allowing children to learn about psychological concepts in an active way. Internet-based interventions have varied benefits, and have been highlighted as a valid alternative to be tested in several areas, such as prevention and health promotion. In this sense, this study aims to investigate changes about the recognition of emotions after an internet-based health promotion intervention, carried out from bibliotherapy. 10 children from a municipal school in Ribeirão Preto will participate in the sample. The data will be collected through the use of the transcription of the recording of the sessions, which will subsequently be subjected to a content analysis, and through the responses of the Scale of Positive and Negative Affections applied, which will be subjected to a descriptive analysis, characterizing this study with a mixed methodology.
