Abstract

The fast dissemination and it's capacity to overburden health systems have made the new coronavirus, the cause of COVID-19, a global interest. This new disease has emerged in the context of different public health emergencies, notably tuberculosis, that carries a history of negligence and the threat of reverse in the recent progress made toward the fight against it within this exceptional situation. In this scenario emerges the need for simultaneous actions against the ancient and new challenges of public health. Objectives: To identify risk areas for tuberculosis and COVID-19 in the state of São Paulo. Methods: An ecological study will be carried out in the state of São Paulo, the population are compose of cases due to TB and COVID-19 from December 2019 to March 2021. The data will be collected from the TBWeb (tuberculosis case notification system) and DATASUS. The sociodemographic and clinic-epidemiological characteristics will be described using software R, version 3.6.3; Then spatial analysis will be proceed by georeferencing addresses, calculating incidence rates for each city, and verifying the existence of cluster, whether hotspots or cold spots, using software ArcGIS (10.6). This Project will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing, University of São Paulo.
