Abstract

Trying to answer the basic hypothesis of the main research - that the literary projects of Mozambican writers (and historians) João Paulo Borges Coelho and Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa offer an extensive historical narrative unrelated to the script of liberation (Borges Coelho, 2019). It is important to demonstrate a data set that substantiates this hypothesis. In this sense, this research internship project proposes to collect information, divided into different archives, which allows to analyze both the historiographical production and the literary debate held in Mozambique between 1984 and 2019. In this sense, and understanding history as narrative production (White, 1995), it is argued that the analysis of the constitution (and transformation) of the literary and historiographic fields of Mozambique will allow a consistent reflection on the space that Ba Ka Khosa and Borges Coelho's literature occupies in their Mozambican society its constant dispute over memory and the historical narrative itself (Werbner, 1998).
