Abstract

This project aims at the dialogical analysis of discourses of black actresses and their scenic works in the city of São Paulo. It recognizes and values the performing arts as a territory of education and aquilombamento, where discursive practices of black women gain listening and legitimacy. The production of these discourses and the construction of rebellious and libertarian subjectivities confront the historical reality and 'contradict the statistics' of the black body in Brazil. The research understands that these corporealities inhabit the performing arts as (micro)polyphonic territorialities in the city of São Paulo, therefore the theoretical and methodological foundations are the contemporary and post-colonial feminist studies and the dialogical discourse communication approach of Mikhail Bakhtin and his Circle. The methodological procedures to investigate the discursiveness present (or absent) in aesthetics, form and content are: bibliographic review; records of contacts with artists and works in Field Notebooks; and creation of geolocation maps (MyMaps Google). This project also foresees the participation in events and the realization of a sandwich scholarship with Prof. Dr. Antonella Romano of the Dipartimento di Storia, Disegno e Restauro Dell'architettura of the Universitá Sapienza di Roma, with whom we have already established previous partnerships, for the continuation and expansion of research on female artistic intervention in urban spaces and (micro)territorialities, advocating interdisciplinarity between Art, Education and Architecture. We understand that analyzing discourses that rise against the suffocation of black bodies is of fundamental importance not only for the understanding of contemporary society, but also for the educational strategies and networks of resistance that configure it, understood here in a fundamentally interdisciplinary way.
