Abstract

The objective of this research is to discuss Galáxias, by Haroldo de Campos, having as perspective the erotic language of the poem. The galactic fragments have different levels of eroticism; therefore, they will be thought from the perspective of the Barthesian seams, in which the erotic aspect of the text takes place at the limit of the fruition of languages, which in Galáxias also converges with the images of women. Since the book assumes a free reading of the pages, it is proposed that the analysis unfolds through niches, grouped according to the images of women. Four niches are, initially, suggested: works of art, prostitutes, actresses, and goddesses and nymphs, whose studies will consider aspects of the concepts discussed by Georges Bataille, in Erotism, and by Eliane Moraes, who goes further in the design of the erotic aspect in Brazilian literature. It is also important to stress that there are several women in the poem, symbolized in different geographical and historical cuts. Here, the analysis will problematize these figurations, outlining a study that is intended to be synchronic-diachronic. The research, therefore, will carry out a reading that highlights the erotic aspects of Galáxias, especially those that are used in the figuration of women, thus understanding them as an important significant element of the poem.
