Abstract

The current research aims to consolidate methodological instruments and a theoretical background to follow de transformations and impacts of the 2017 Brazilian labor reform in the steel industry through participation and interaction with the researches and debates conducted by the Centre de Recherches Sociologiques et Politiques in Paris - CRESPPA. The research also aims to deepen the understanding and theoretical discussion about the changes in the institutional landmarks of labor regulations in contemporary capitalism, seen as a worldwide phenomenon. France has been living over the last ten years a throughout process of changings in its labor legislations, what has produced many researches and theoretical discussions about the impacts of such changes. Brazil and France have a centralized labor legislation and both are going through recent changes that diminishes the workers' rights. Therefore, the interaction with researches and theoretical discussions made in France is an important contribution to assess the Brazilian labor reform. (AU)
