Abstract

This proposal stems from the researcher/proponent's involvement with the Red Iberoamericana de Atención Temprana (RIAT), formed by entities and universities in Spain and Latin American countries, where she represents Brazil since its formation in 2018. In collaboration with RIAT, in 2020, the International Observatory of Early Intervention and Child Development was launched, linked to the Institute of Investigation and Attention a la Disability Capacitas and the Center of Early Attention and Children's School of the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV). The Observatory is an academic and scientific project, a document with guidelines and protocols for Early Intervention (IP) based on family-centered practices, in an attempt to obtain a common language and produce evidence for research and practice in Early Intervention. From this partnership in research with members of the RIAT group, in 2021 a scientific cooperation agreement was consolidated between the UCV and UFSCar universities. The present study arises in this context and the urgency of advancing research on Early Intervention in Brazil, which maintains a delay of at least 20 years in this theme, as it has historically been based on actions of a rehabilitative and clinical nature, with a passive participation of the families, incipient science production and a setback in policies and services. The study aims to carry out techno-scientific training and the production of evidence for Brazil involving the areas/guidelines of the Observatory (Resources and materials, Specialized training in family-centered practices, Transfer of experiences, Basis for the transformation process and implementation of Network systems). As a result of this study, it is possible to see the production and dissemination of knowledge, as well as the application of the procedures adopted at the UCV on the recommended practices in Early Intervention in actions in Brazil.
