Abstract

This research project intends to inventory and classify part of the documents published on the FamilySearch genealogical records website, which, in addition to allowing the assembly of family trees, provides access to immigrants' documents, including the Japanese, object of this research, the time frame it covers the period from 1938 to 1954. The main objective is to compile the documents on the site, organize them and relate those to the immigration policy of the Vargas and Dutra governments and its specific effects on Japanese immigration.(AU)
