Abstract

A master's project in observational cosmology is proposed here, focused on the study of the existent tension between the value of the Hubble constant obtained from the statistical properties of the cosmic background radiation anisotropies and of the luminosity distance and recession velocity measurements of type IA supernovae (SNIa). Special attention must be paid to the details of each of the two analyzes and an independent Bayesian method will be proposed to reconstruct a posteriori probability distribution of the Hubble constant from a set of luminosity distance and recession velocity measurements.
