Abstract

Psychosocial factors related to work and sleep quality have a great impact on the health and quality of life of health workers, especially in the current scenario of increased forms of job insecurity and the Covid-19 pandemic, which requires greater emotional and physical effort from this class of workers. Despite the frequent exposure of health professionals to psychosocial risks and evidence of poor sleep quality among these workers, this is a little investigated topic, especially from the perspective of the worker and especially in the pandemic context. In this sense, this study aims to evaluate the relationship between psychosocial risk factors and sleep characteristics in healthcare workers. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative research, carried out considering the three levels of care of the Unified Health System (SUS), throughout the national territory. The study participants are SUS workers who work in patient care. Data were collected using three instruments: a sociodemographic questionnaire; the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire II, a version adapted and validated for use in Brazil; and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index PSQI-Br. The data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, involving the calculation of mean, standard deviation, and absolute and relative frequency. Association analyses will be performed between the study variables (sleep quality and psychosocial factors in health work) and sociodemographic and labor variables. The project is approved by the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings and all ethical recommendations are being observed. (AU)
