Abstract

Although the Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) presents a similar lethality to theAcute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), the PAD still is largely underdiagnosed, and, consequently, undertreated. This fact occurs due to the lack of studies that show theimportance of the disease towards its mortality rate and influence over othercardiovascular diseases, such as the Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) and theMyocardial Infarction (MI). It will be done the mapping of patients with PAD whounderwent index surgeries on lower limbs, with the goal of correlate and estimate thepower of prediction with others cardiovascular events (MI, Angina), cerebrovascular(CVA, Transient ischemic attack), amputation and death. The study is observationallongitudinal of prospectively obtained data analysis which will be retrospectivelyreviewed, such analyzed data will be necessary for tracking an epidemiological riskprofile of the PAD. The data will be collected from 834 selected patients for the studythrough the patients' electronic health records. Statistical analysis will includeunivariate tests and multivariate models (logistic regression).
