Abstract

Taken always as a borderline between literature and theater, dramaturgy tends to incorporate the complexity that the relation text and scene has evoked in the last centuries. However, the publication of theatrical texts is still linked to scenic productions and has few researches that reflect on its aesthetic propositions prominently. In Brazil there is a shortage of bibliography and initiatives that embrace this production. This postdoctoral project intends to reflect on two propositions: to make a theoretical research about the dramaturgy book and its contradictions in what concerns its interdisciplinarity; and analyze some cases of Brazilian theatrical texts publications that explore the creation on the page, in order to dialogue with the theatricality that the scene requests. At first, two points will be raised to discuss theoretically the dramaturgy book: (1) the questions raised by Paul Zumthor and Henri Meschonnic about orality in the written word and in the spoken word, reflecting on the performativity of the book in contemporary times; (2) then, the research will deal with the possible limits between the recording and the aesthetic production of the dramaturgy forms through the thesis of Pierre Banos-Ruf, on the publications of Éditions Théâtrale in the French context and the weights of the Artist Books in the studies of Amir Cadôr. In a second moment the project intends to make a survey of the publications of dramaturgy in Brazil in order to analyze how the national propositions dialogue with the theoretical reflection constructed. The hypothesis of this research is that these publications develop powerful performative inventiveness in paper, bringing greater dialogue between literary and theatrical instances, reinforcing the possibility of coexistence and feedback between the two languages.
