Abstract The aim of the project is to assess the exposure of infants (e 1 year and < 2 years old), preschoolers (e2 and < 6 years old), schoolchildren (e 6 years and < 10 years old) and adolescents (e 10 years and < 19 years old) from Ribeirão Preto/SP to multiple mycotoxins in the diet using food data and biomarkers in urine, and characterize the associated risk. The research protocol was approved by the Research Ethical Committee of Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo (Review no. 4.690.995). Multiple mycotoxin determination in the different food types consumed by children and in children's urine will be performed by liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mas spectrometry, using validated analytical methods. The data obtained in foods and urine will be used in the exposure assessment based on estimated intake through food (indirect approach) and through urine biomarkers (direct approach), aiming at the risk characterization associated to dietary mycotoxins.
