Abstract

The student will be trained to investigate the interactions between bureaucracies and the power relations in the executive government to clarify governance strategies in complex policy arrangements, such as technology transfer and drug regulation. The student will contribute to data collection, systematization, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data regarding the bureaucracy profile, political actors, and management strategies in executive agencies. Data collection will triangulate sources and techniques, including documentary analysis of technology transfer arrangements, drug regulation, public procurement reform, ministerial directives, and semi-structured interviews.(AU)
