Abstract

The project aims at the compositional characterization, via microprobe and laser, of the melt inclusions found in plagioclase and pyroxene crystals by the Paraná-Etendenka Province. This part is important to distinguish the melt inclusions from possible embayments, that would not be possible if in the high temperature homogenization process (more traditional technique of analysis of melt inclusions). The identification of the composition of the inclusions will be used to reconstruct the evolutionary history of the magmas that form the Paraná-Etendeka Province, in order to contribute to the understanding of the environmental impacts that the formation of this feature may have caused.(AU)
