This IC ("Iniciação Científica") activity plan is part of the FAPESP thematic project Vulnerabilities of young people to STI/HIV and dating violence: evaluating a human rights-based psychosocial intervention (FAPESP 2017/25950-2). The aim of this study is to describe how high school students enrolled in the High School Scientific Initiation Program (IC-EM) at the ETEC/Heliópolis evaluate the graphic and audiovisual HIV/AIDS prevention material, elaborated by young leaders of the Union of Associations of the Residents of Heliópolis and Region (UNAS) and the students of the ETEC of this territory in the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by Paulo Freire, we intend to discuss the meaningful previous contribution of young people and stimulate the protagonist's emancipatory practice in health, contextualized in the current pandemic context and based on their everyday knowledge about the territory where they live and study.
