Abstract

Currently, in several countries, the liberalization of the electricity market for low-voltage consumers is being carried out. In Brazil, such release is considered in the ten-year energy expansion plans, taking advantage of distributed energy resources such as photovoltaic systems, electric vehicles, and energy storage equipment. Consumers' aggregation is considered part of the new retail market structures to create a competitive market that can bring benefits to consumers and electricity concessionaires. This research project proposes to develop a methodology that optimizes energy resources distributed within aggregated groups of low voltage consumers to contribute to the analysis studies of the implementation of a retail market in Brazil. Such optimization aims to reduce the net power required by the electricity grid, considering hourly tariffs that can bring economic benefits to consumers and allow the postponement of investments in reinforcement works plans to improve the quality of supply by the distribution companies. In this way, the results can help the agents involved in implementing a retail market in Brazil.
