Abstract

In this research project we intend to develop an intelligent system using artificial immune systems for the diagnosis of structural failures in a magnetic levitation train. Through a numerical model of ordinary differential equations, a database will be developed to simulate the normal (stable) and faulty (unstable) behavior of a magnetic levitation train using the 4th order runge kutta method. Through the use of this database, a tool will then be developed to monitor the integrity of the structure through artificial immune systems. The main application of this system is to inspect the structure aiming at its better conservation. The expected results of the proposed monitoring system applied to the specified problem should prove to be significant.
