Abstract

Dinorá de Carvalho (1895 - 1980) was a pianist and composer whose musical production had a considerable part of her works dedicated to solo piano. This production, which is relevant for the understanding of Brazilian music in the 20th century, is currently not widely disseminated artistically, academically and scientifically. Currently, its compositional collection is fragmented throughout Brazil, with a part of it located in the Dinorá de Carvalho CDMC/Unicamp Collection. This project proposes a continuation of an earlier research entitled "Survey and interpretation of works for solo piano present in the Dinorá de Carvalho Collection of the CDMC/Unicamp Collection", with the objective of collaborating to a future publication of the complete solo piano works by Dinorá de Carvalho. In order to develop this project of Dinorá de Carvalho and the publication of her musical scores, an active search and collecting musical documents located in other public and private collections, as well as an organization of a database. As a result, it is expected the discovery of unknown titles of piano pieces by Dinorá de Carvalho, the discovery of lost scores and the organization of the database with for solo piano works by the composer.
